CLUB RATIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Preparation:

Before applying for ratification with MedSoc, you’ll need to host two events in advance and track attendance to help demonstrate student interest and needs.

As a non-ratified club, events can only be held in the MSB Med Lounge. To book the space, please contact Ann Loo at medical.society@utoronto.ca. To book at MAM, please contact Luisa Vicente at luisa.vicente@utoronto.ca. Once ratified, you will gain access to room bookings across campus, AV rentals, and be able to apply for MedSoc funding. Funding cycles occur twice a year, in May and December.

Ratification Application:

You can apply for ratification using this link: https://forms.gle/7GwCcefJKvv9sDRN8. Please email medsocvpse@gmail.com to notify us that you have submitted. We also encourage you to reach out before starting, in case similar clubs exist or are in development.

To complete the application, the following criteria must be met:

  • You must hold at least two events before applying.

  • Events must align with the club’s mandate.

  • Events must demonstrate student engagement beyond club leads (e.g., planning meetings do not count).

  • Attendance must be recorded and submitted as proof of engagement.

  • If events are held in person, one must occur at STG and the other at MAM. If events are online, the link must be accessible to all students.
     

Ratification applications are reviewed monthly at MedSoc meetings. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
